Sicilian and Italian are two separate languages. They both belong in the family of Romance language and usually people confuse them, or cosider Sicilian a dialect of Italian. However, that is not true.

Sicilian was developed separately from Italian and its direct origins and roots can be found in the Latin language.

Do you know any of the languages? What are the most notable differences you have observed between these two?
